Anyway, we searched through their menu for some bites to complement our drinks.   We found baked camembert, mini burgers and other stuff that caught our eyes.  However, baked camembert was the winner.  It was topped with honey and star anise that it smelled soooo good once it reached our table.  Hubby and I could not resist but dig in right away.  It was served with toasted baguettes.   It was absolutely gastronomic!

Cheese, mocktails and a breath-taking view of Dubai with someone you love.. Just perfect. 

It’s astounding how Dubai has evolved from being a desert to being one of the hottest tourist destinations.  I wonder they showed off their camels and horses in one of the oases.  Hmm….. Anyway, just a few years ago the ‘Palm Strip’ along Jumeirah Beach road, was the place for daily ‘parading’ of the newest makes of cars and bikes.  Picture the ‘Palm Strip’ and quadruple it, you’ll see Dubai’s biggest show-off strip, The Walk… as of now.

You not only see cars and bikes, you can also see people dressed up with the latest fashion trend.  Sometimes it’s fun to sit and have coffee in this area since you see different kinds of people from all over the world.  You’ll see various kinds of fashion: the hip, the tourists, backpackers… oh and you’ll see the newest trend of noses (nose jobs) — I actually saw 3 ladies having relatively the same style of nose jobs.

So if you like people-watching, car-watching and bike-watching, head down to The Walk of Jumeirah Beach Residence and i promise, this place won’t let you down.

The one and only revolving restaurant in Dubai, and not to mention one of the oldest restaurants, Al Dawaar still has its charm.  Located at Hyatt Regency Hotel, along Shindagha Tunnel, 360 degree view of Dubai is what you will definitely see.  Along with the view is a bit of history on how Dubai started and how it’s going to be a few years from now.

If you enjoy interesting views such as of airplanes from gatwick airport hotels in the UK or of Paris from the top of the Eiffel tower,then you will enjoy this exceptional view. And what better way to enjoy it than by having a romantic meal for two?

You can look forward to be greeted warmly by their hostess and receive first-class service from their staff.  Even the chefs are very helpful and friendly; they explain a certain dish to you if you are not familiar with it.

It was my turn to surprise Mr. Hubby on VDay by taking him to this lovely restaurant.  It was the first for both of us so we were both excited with the experience of dining in a revolving restaurant.  We had an amazing time; service was good and the food was superb.  It’s a bit pricey though but I recommend it to those who haven’t tried dining in a revolving restaurant.

Please don’t forget to bring motion-sickness pills if you’re the type to get easily woozy.
